Harry Lownds (L'10)

Many of you will already have heard the terrible news of Harry’s death, following a viral infection, last week.  It is futile to try to put into words what a devastating blow this is for his family, especially his parents Matthew and Becky and sisters Rosie and Evie, but I know that they and Harry will be in your hearts and prayers.  A Service of Thanksgiving is be held next Friday in Derbyshire and they would be very pleased to see anyone who wishes to share this occasion with them; I share the details below from Harry’s father.

While next Friday will be a desperately sad time, there is so much to celebrate in Harry’s life too – he was one of the great originals and will remain a treasured part of the Repton, Foremarke and Latham families.  We hope to have a memorial service at Repton at some point too.

It is at times like this that we realise how lucky we are to share both the love of our families and the connections and friendships forged at school.  Look after yourselves.

 With very best wishes,

 Sarah Tennant
